In response to the growing need for knowledgeable veterinarians in reptile and amphibian medicine, we are excited to offer HerpVet: An Intensive Course in Reptile and Amphibian Health & Disease. This course is designed to provide veterinary students and early career veterinarians with essential knowledge and practical skills in amphibian and reptile medicine—an area of increasing interest and demand.
Course Overview
Reptiles and amphibians represent a diverse group of species that require specialized care. However, most veterinary schools offer limited exposure to these animals, leaving a gap in education for students and professionals eager to expand their expertise. Our course aims to fill this gap, offering a unique, in-depth training experience that covers the fundamentals of herpetology in veterinary practice. The course will be held daily from 9:30am-7:30pm Eastern. Each session will be 2 hours with a 30 minute break between. Each lecture will be 50 minutes with 10 minutes of Q&A time dedicated to each speaker. The lectures will be recorded and available to attendees for a limited amount of time. Optional social/networking opportunities will be held throughout the week.
In order to provide one-on-one interaction between participants and lecturers, class size will be limited. Program will be RACE accredited.
