Call for Papers for the Unusual Pets and Avian Vets (UPAV)

April 14, 2016

Call for Papers for the Unusual Pets and Avian Vets (UPAV) stream, at the 2017 Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations (FASAVA) Congress

The 2017 Unusual Pets and Avian Vets (UPAV) annual conference is being held as part of the Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations (FASAVA) Congress from August 11-14, 2017. The Congress is being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, on Queenslands beautiful Gold Coast.

The Congress consists of numerous conference streams covering all shades of the small animal veterinary spectrum, from medicine and surgery to dentistry and oncology as well as many others. UPAV will be presenting our stream to provide representation and education on all things Exotic, Reptile and Avian. The UPAV stream will run over the first 2 days of the Congress (Friday 11th and Saturday 12th) with our annual dinner and Quiz held on the Friday night.

Due to the nature of the Congress, the UPAV stream requires fifty (50) minute presentations focusing on Exotic, Reptile or Avian medicine, surgery or related veterinary topics. Presenters should focus on case series or specific topics rather than individual case reports. Presentations will be selected based on topic interest and overall program structure. The conveners may reject or accept additional topics and/or presenters.

Please submit a copy of your abstract to conference organisers by April 14, 2016 at liam.flanagan@uqconnect.edu.au

UPAV co-convenors are Liam Flanagan, Melinda Cowan and Brendan Carmel.
